Hugo Boettger lays the foundation stone for today’s Boettger Group

Our industrial tradition is born when Hugo Boettger joins the Praust sugar factory near Danzig. The city’s three sugar factories Praust, Neuteich and Sobbowitz then merge to form an association, the “Vereinigte Zuckerfabriken”, and the Boettger family take a majority stake.

CORPORATE PHILOSOPHY

OUR VALUES

Our strong values form the orientation framework for our thoughts and actions. They help us to live up to our responsibility towards our employees, our customers and our business partners.

OUR VALUES
  • We stand for appreciation: Through attentiveness, respect and interest in our relationships with each other or with third parties, we create trust – with our employees, our customers and our business partners. For us, tolerance and acceptance towards everyone are an elementary part of appreciation, within our companies and externally too.
  • We believe in transparency: By this we mean reliability, honesty and openness in our relationships with each other. We also practice transparency in the relationship between our subsidiaries and affiliated companies: it helps us to demonstrate, understand and control processes and facts in an optimal way.
  • We promote and demand personal responsibility through the willingness to feel responsible for one’s actions, but also through the obligation to consciously take responsibility for one’s own actions or even inactions.
